  Drobeta-Turnu Severin (Romania): I was sitting at my pc, drinking a class of juice..then I felt like my chair was moving and the juice from the class started to ballance to left and right. My music was on, playing so I didn't heart a lot, but is not the first time and I knew is similar to other earth-shakes that was here.
  Everything fine in the end.
  Bucharest (Romania): the motion was slow, the flowers were dancing lightly. I have some glass balls on my lighting. Also they were balancing. they have been balanced also during the Chile Earthquake.

Cyclone Thane leaves 33 dead in India

At least 33 people died when a cyclone hit southern India, officials said on Saturday as engineers rushed to restore power supplies knocked out by winds of up to 140kmh.

Cyclone Thane lashed the coast between Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu state and the territory of Pondicherry on Friday, leaving in its wake a trail of destruction, officials from the affected regions said.

At least 21 people died in Cuddalore, which bore the brunt of the storm, district administrator V. Amuvalli told AFP.

'The extent of damage is still being assessed,' he said by telephone, adding that most of the deaths occurred due to electrocution and walls collapsing in the coastal district.

Five others died elsewhere in Tamil Nadu, other officials said in state capital Chennai.

Officials said engineers were working to restore phone lines and power supplies that were cut off in some regions during the cyclone, while rail and air traffic had resumed normal service on Saturday.

The gale pushed a cargo ship aground on the beaches of Chennai, the Press Trust of India added.

The storm also slammed the former French enclave of Pondicherry, leaving at least seven dead, the region's Chief Minister N. Rangasami said.

'I have never seen such havoc in my entire life,' Rangasami said, referring to the widespread damage caused by the cyclone, which later weakened into a depression.

India and Bangladesh are hit regularly by cyclones that develop in the Bay of Bengal between April and November, causing widespread damage to homes, livestock and fields.

Recent Felt Earthquakes

• M 6.6 very strong shallow earthquake in Saryg-Sep, Siberia, Russia with epicenter located 96 km E of Kyzyl, Russia. luckily the epicenter is far from populated residential area of Kyzyl. About 2,000 will have experienced a strong shaking of MMI VI. People of Saryg-Sep will experience strong shaking of MMI VI. Moderate shaking will be felt by people of Toora-Khem and Balgazyn area.
  People of Kaa-Khem, Sukpak, Kyzyl, Bay-Khaak, Turan, Samagaltay, Khovu-Aksy, Karatuzskoye will have experienced light shaking.
  A magnitude 6.3 earthquake 184 km southeast of this one struck Mongolia on December 27, 1991 (UTC), with estimated population exposures of 13,000 at intensity V and 98,000 at intensity IV, with no reported fatalities.

• M 4.7 moderate Sea quake in New Ireland region (Siar), Papua New Guinea (@ 94 km depth) with epicenter 46 km SE of Taron, New Ireland, PNG. It will be faintly felt

  -Volcanic ashes spread over nearby village from Mount Lokon
  -No evacuation so far
  -Eruption was heard 5 km far, caused panic among nearby villagers

• Flash flood in Riau, Indonesia
  -Domo, Padang Sawa, East Teluk Paman and Kuntu of Java Sumatra area, Indonesia are affected by flooding
  -Evacuation has started in Riau from 500 homes
  -Flooding is also reported in Kalirejo, Kalianyar and Tambaan
  
• Thailand Flood 2011, Death toll at 762
