  • Volcanic Eruption On Hierro Canary Islands located in Spain. During 2-8 November, 364 seismic events were recorded at depths of 16-23 km. During 4-5 November authorities evacuated about 80 residents from areas in Frontera due to landslide risks. Hierro contains the greatest concentration of young vents in the Canary Islands. Two days earlier, the toxic gases get mixed in the air. Indeed we showed video of that to you.

    Residents of the fishing village of La Restinga on El Hierro island are allowed already to return home. The scientist have said that they now don't expect an imminent eruption from a nearby underwater volcano. Though today too, many earthquake tremors were recorded in Canary Island.The strongest was of magnitude 3.2.

    Minor earthquake (@16km depth) with magnitude 2.8 hit Canary Islands Spain region today too at 01:47 local time. The epicenter was located 80 km SW Valle gran rey (pop 4,983)

  • Volcanic Eruption On Nyamuragira Democratic Republic of Congo. It is the Africa's most active volcano. Eruption still continues here in Nyamuragira. Yesterday, we showed the video of eruption in Nyamuragira which shows it be still active.However, The city of Goma, near the volcano, remains unaffected.
    UPDATE
    The lava on Mount Nyamulagira in Congo is spewing up to 300 metres high.Meanwhile Virunga Park, best known for its endangered mountain gorillas, is now inviting tourists to go on overnight treks to see a volcano spurting fountains of lava some 300 meters into the air.

  •  Magnitude 5.8 Very Strong Earthquake in Papua, Indonesia (Irian Jaya)with epicenter located 86 km (53 miles) N of Tanahmerah, Papua, Indonesia. Far (304 km) from the populated area of Jaya pura, Indonesia (pop 134,895). Max. felt Intensity will be IV in the Kiunga region, Indonesia.
    UPDATE:
    NO ANY NEWS FROM THE EPICENTER AREA. As the population living there are in small number, we don't expect more news.
  • Magnitude 5.5 earthquake in Sulawesi, Indonesia with epicenter located 148 km (91 miles) WSW of Gorontalo, Sulawesi, Indonesia. Max. felt intensity III which indicates weak shaking.
    UPDATE 11:10 UTC: USGS mentions M 5.5. EMSC now updated its data to M 5.5 similar to USGS.

      • Volcanic Eruption On Nyamuragira Democratic Republic of Congo. It is the Africa's most active volcano. Eruption still continues here in Nyamuragira. Lava fountains have reached a height of 400 m and a new cone has been formed. A large sulphur dioxide plume extending west of the eruption site is shown by the satellite image.

        However earthquake with such high magnitude may generate local Tsunami.

        Canary Islands Volcano is releasing toxic gases in the air around the island.The volcano is currently shooting magma 65 feet into the air.

Dozens of Minor Volcanoes earthquakes are recorded from yesterday in this region. Last strong was on 11/11 with M 4.0 in Canary Islands, Spain region.
      • Volcanic Eruption On Cerro Hudson located in Southern Chile. During 1-6 November between 16 and 110 earthquakes per day were recorded.
      • Volcanic Eruption On Nyamuragira Democratic Republic of Congo. It is the Africa's most active volcano.
      • Volcanic Eruption On Cleveland Chuginadak Island located in the East Central Aleutians. No current seismic information is available because Cleveland does not have a real-time seismic network.
      • Volcanic Eruption On Karymsky Eastern Kamchatka located in Russia. Karymsky is the most active volcano of Kamchatka's eastern volcanic zone. 
      • Volcanic Eruption On Kizimen Eastern Kamchatka located in Russia.The largest eruptions took place about 10,000 and 8300-8400 years ago.
      • Volcanic Eruption On Pagan Mariana Islands. The Aviation Color Code remained at Yellow and the Volcano Alert Level remained at Advisory. 
      • Volcanic Eruption On Sakura-Jima Kyushu  located in Japan. It is Japan's most active volcanoes which largest historical eruption took place during 1471-76.
      Other Disasters
      • Coal mine gas leak in Sizhuang Coal Mine of Yunaan province, China. Death toll has risen to 34. Another nine miners are still trapped in Yunan coal mine. Officials said each dead miner's family will receive 660,000 yuan (about $100,000) in compensation.
